Cooperation between container shipping lines changed in February 2025. These are the main developments:
Gemini Cooperation: Maersk joined forces with Hapag-Lloyd. Their hub-and-spoke network is designed to reduce delays and improve schedule reliability.
MSC: The Swiss carrier chose to operate independently. It shares vessel capacity with ZIM on routes between Asia and North America and with Premier Alliance on routes between Asia and Europe.
Ocean Alliance: Cooperation between CMA CGM, Evergreen, COSCO and OOCL remains unchanged and continues until 2032.
Premier Alliance: The successor to THE Alliance consists of ONE, HMM and Yang Ming.
