ONE, HMM and Yang Ming Marine Transportation announced that they would continue as Premier Alliance from February 2025. The partnership will run until at least 2030 and succeeds THE Alliance.
Premier Alliance has also agreed with MSC to cooperate on nine services between Asia and Europe.
The changes follow wider shifts in the sector. MSC ended the 2M alliance with Maersk and now operates largely independently. Hapag-Lloyd left THE Alliance to join Maersk in Gemini Cooperation.
Ocean Alliance, formed by CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen and OOCL, has extended its cooperation until the end of March 2032.
