Impact of the Container Lashing Strike on Terminals

Container terminal operations in the Port of Rotterdam have stopped because of a strike by container lashers. Containers are currently not being secured or released on board vessels, bringing waterside terminal operations to a standstill. Landside operations are largely continuing, so containers discharged earlier can still move inland.

The combination of the strike and Storm Amy has left 13 container ships waiting at anchor. We are monitoring the situation closely. If you have questions, contact your LVNT account manager for the latest information.
