Terminals in Rotterdam and Antwerp have become increasingly busy. This is causing longer waiting times and operational challenges when collecting and delivering containers.
On 8 May 2025, ECT Delta Terminal reported delays for road transport at several locations within the terminal because of longer handling times.
Waiting times are also increasing sharply in the Port of Antwerp. These developments affect the entire logistics chain, from carriers to end customers.
